Android-based Walkman due in June?
According to the SEMC blog, a new android-based Walkman is set to be unveiled in June. It is meant to share a similar design to the Xperia X10 mini, which if you ask me is not a great design. Is this the android Walkman Sony Insider mentioned so long ago? Maybe so but it is strictly not just a Walkman but a phone first, and a Walkman second. If there is to be a standalone Walkman that is to replace the retired X-Series, Sony is keeping a tight lid on it.
Any Walkman that is to replace the X-Series has to sport an OLED or AMOLED screen since going back to resistive technology would be a bad idea, seeing as the X's screen was capacitive and OLED.
